Salary: £35,000 – £40,000
PHASE Worldwide is seeking an exceptional candidate to succeed its current Director. The new Director will lead the organisation, in partnership with the Board of Trustees, through the next exciting stage of its development, from 2018 onwards.
Over the past twelve years PHASE Worldwide has matured from a volunteer led NGO to a respected international development organisation dedicated to ensuring everyone, everywhere, even those in the most remote places in the world, has access to primary healthcare, basic education and livelihood opportunities. We do this through close partnership with our sister organisation PHASE Nepal who lead on design and implementation for our integrated health, education and livelihoods projects in remote Nepal.
PHASE stands for ‘Practical Help Achieving Self Empowerment’ – Empowerment and Sustainability being the key pillars which run through the organisation. PHASE Worldwide currently has several years secure funding from DFID and the Big Lottery Fund and fundraises through a range of other sources. The current director has been with PHASE Worldwide for seven years and has guided the team through a programme of change that has resulted in greater financial and organisational stability.
The outgoing director will be able to support the transition and will be available to facilitate the induction and handover to the successful candidate. The ideal candidate is a high calibre inspirational leader with experience of management within the international development sector. They will be entrepreneurial, resilient and have the ability to sustain a culture of growth and continual improvement. Candidates should bring a strong track record in fundraising and be an experienced and persuasive communicator.
