The Britain-Nepal Charitable Trust (BNCT) is the newly established fundraising and grant-making arm of the Britain-Nepal Society (BNS). Set up in early 2024, the BNCT has taken on responsibility for the administering and making of the annual grant previously offered by the BNS, using funding transferred from that organisation and other funds raised by the BNCT. Applications for this years grant can be made by completing the form below.
The BNCT invites organisations working in Nepal to apply for a grant of up to £2,000 to support a project or initiative benefiting the country of Nepal and its people. Applications related to projects or initiatives in the areas of health, education, the environment, gender equality, disaster relief, and community development are all welcome, as well as any other project with charitable objectives in Nepal. Organisations applying for the grant must either be registered with the Charity Commission in the United Kingdom or the Social Welfare Council in Nepal and have an annual turnover of £50,000 or less.
Successful applicants will receive a years Honorary Membership of the Britain-Nepal NGO Network, providing them with access to a dynamic network of experience and expertise from a range of charities and NGOs working in Nepal, and are expected to make a presentation to the Britain-Nepal Society on their work.
Successful applicants will be expected to provide a written report, supported by receipts (where possible) or other proof of expenditure and photographic evidence within twelve months of receiving a grant.
Successful applicants will only be able to re-apply for a grant from the third anniversary of their previous grant.
Applications must be received by the BNCT no later than 30th June 2025. We expect to inform candidates of the outcome of their applications by 1st October 2025. Please apply by completing the form below.
