Colonel John Cross OBE
Colonel John Cross OBE is 98 this year. He joined the Gurkhas during WWII and has pretty much lived in Nepal since. A true legend.
Annual Supper 2022

Auction for BNS Relief Fund
They are a pair of beautiful signed original pastels of a Stupa in Gunsa village in East Nepal (55x40cm), and a busy Square before the earthquake (63×49). They were painted by the renowned mountain artist Lincoln Rowe. Lincoln Rowe is well known in climbing circles for his fabulous paintings of, among others, Kanchenjunga and Everest. He is also well known for his landscapes and golfing scenes!
These framed originals are believed to have been painted in the 80s.
Those attending the Annual Supper on will be able to view them, for those unable to attend a photo as attached will have to suffice.
You are invited to submit a closed auction bid (in excess of £75 each) to the Hon Secretary MJ Streather secretary@britainnepalsociety.org by Friday 8th April 2022 (The successful applicant will need to liaise with MJ to arrange either pick MJ, or to arrange suitable carriage from MJ’s home address).
Any proceeds from this auction will be added to the continuing BNS Relief account.
